About The Gurdies

The Gurdies is a village in the Bass Coast Shire of South Gippsland, Victoria, approximately 90 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. Named from the Hurdy Gurdy pastoral run established in the 1840s, the locality sits on elevated hillside terrain overlooking Western Port Bay. The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve and The Gurdies Winery are local landmarks.
