About Raymond Island
Raymond Island (Gunai/Kurnai language: Bunjil-baul) is a town located on a small island in the Gippsland Lakes in eastern Victoria, Australia, about 300 km (190 miles) from Melbourne. The island is approximately 6 km (3.7 miles) long by 2 km (1.2 miles) wide, with an area of approximately 7.5 square kilometres (2.9 square miles). It is just 200 m (660 ft) off the coast, across from the town of Paynesville.
