About East Bairnsdale
East Bairnsdale is a locality on the eastern edge of Bairnsdale in East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, approximately 280 kilometres east of Melbourne. On the traditional land of the Tatungalung clan of the Gunaikurnai people, it serves as the gateway to the Gippsland Lakes and the Mitchell River delta, an internationally significant digitate delta. It is a key regional service centre supporting grazing, dairying, timber, fishing, and tourism.
