About Nicholson (Vic.)
Nicholson is a town in the East Gippsland Shire of Victoria, on the banks of the Nicholson River and the Princes Highway, between Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance. The town's post office opened in 1885, and the river here provides a public boat ramp. The East Gippsland Rail Trail crosses the north of the town, where a former railway station once served the area.
