About Marthavale
Marthavale is a sparsely populated bushland locality in the East Gippsland hills, covering the headwaters of the Nicholson River. The Marthavale Hut, built in 1953 as a base for timber workers, stands where several four-wheel-drive tracks meet at the river, and Mount Baldhead Road winds through the area.
