About Wahgunyah
Wahgunyah is a town on the southern bank of the Murray River in north-eastern Victoria, opposite Corowa in New South Wales, within the Rutherglen wine region and on the traditional lands of the Bangerang people. Laid out in 1856 by pastoralist John Foord, it grew as the furthest upstream port on the Murray until the railway arrived in 1879. The district is home to All Saints Estate, a winery founded in 1864 and modelled on Scotland's Castle of Mey.
