Piries is a quiet rural locality in the Mansfield Shire of north-eastern Victoria, situated about 25 kilometres north-east of Mansfield in the foothills of the Victorian Alps. The terrain consists of hilly grazing and forested country within the Ovens Valley catchment, at elevations between 400 and 700 metres. Mansfield is the nearest service centre.
