About Delatite

Delatite is a locality in the Mansfield district of north-east Victoria, named after the Delatite pastoral station taken up near Mansfield in 1844. The station and the Delatite River are thought to be named after Beolite, wife of a leader of the Taungurung people, and the river rises between Mount Stirling and Mount Buller before flowing into the Goulburn River.
