About Osbornes Flat
Small rural locality in the Shire of Indigo in north-east Victoria, roughly 6 kilometres east of Yackandandah and 22 kilometres south of Wodonga. Named after James Osborne, who settled there in 1844, the area was heavily mined for alluvial gold from 1852. Today it is a quiet residential locality in the Yackandandah Valley with remnants of its mining heritage.
