About Knockwood

Knockwood is a locality in the high country of central Victoria, on the road between Jamieson and Woods Point. The area was mined for gold from the 1860s, and the Golden Age Hotel operated from 1867 until it closed in 1923, being demolished in 1964 when the road was realigned. Knockwood Reserve, in the Upper Goulburn State Forest, is a popular riverside campground.
