About Corryong

Corryong is a town in north-eastern Victoria, about 120 km east of Albury-Wodonga, near the upper reaches of the Murray River and close to the border with New South Wales. Known as the home of the Man from Snowy River, it has a statue honouring the poem's hero, the stockman Jack Riley, in Attree Park. The town's post office opened in 1874.
