About Barwidgee
Barwidgee is a rural locality in the Alpine Shire of north-east Victoria, situated approximately 5 kilometres south of Myrtleford along Barwidgee Creek in the Ovens Valley. The landscape consists of valley farmland and eucalypt woodlands, with a Barwidgee Creek Streamside Reserve managed by Parks Victoria, and the area was significantly affected by the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.
