About Wurdiboluc

Wurdiboluc is a rural locality in the Surf Coast Shire, about 33 kilometres south-west of Geelong and 15 kilometres north-east of Colac. The locality is best known for the Wurdee Boluc Reservoir, Geelong's largest water storage, constructed in the late 1920s. The name derives from the Wadawurrung language meaning large lake, reflecting the area's natural springs and water bodies.
