About Wensleydale
Wensleydale is a rural locality in Surf Coast Shire, perched among rolling farmland about 36 kilometres south-west of Geelong, with broad views across grazing country toward the Barrabool Hills. It was the terminus of a railway branch line from 1890 to 1948 that transported firewood, gravel and brown coal, and has no commercial centre of its own, relying on Geelong for services.
