About Spring Gully (Vic.)
Spring Gully is a suburb of Bendigo in north-central Victoria, about 5 kilometres south of the city centre on the edge of the state forest. The name refers to the natural springs of the district. Spring Gully Reservoir, built in 1877, supplied water for Bendigo's mining and domestic needs, and the suburb grew as the city's urban area expanded southward from the 1970s.
