About Kennington
Kennington is a residential suburb of Bendigo, located about 3 kilometres south-east of the city centre. Settled around 1909 on small agricultural holdings, it is known for the Kennington Reservoir and the former Convent of the Good Shepherd, which opened in 1905. The Strath shopping centre and La Trobe University campus at nearby Flora Hill serve the wider area.
