About Rheola

Rheola is a locality in central Victoria, in the region known as the Golden Triangle, where gold was discovered in 1858. The goldfield was originally known as the Berlin Rush, after large gold nuggets were found, and the town was renamed Rheola in 1876. The locality lies about 60 kilometres west of Bendigo.
