About Llanelly

Llanelly is a rural locality in central Victoria between Bendigo and Dunolly, about five kilometres north-east of Tarnagulla. The area was settled during the Victorian gold rush when alluvial gold was discovered at Hard Hills in 1856, and later also known as Irish Town and Maidentown. Today it is characterised by open farmland, sparse bushland reserves, and scattered lifestyle properties in the Loddon Shire.
