About Huntly
Huntly is a suburb on the northern edge of Bendigo in Victoria, on the Midland Highway about 12 kilometres north-east of the city centre. The name, first given to the local parish on an 1854 map, is thought to have been inspired by Huntly in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Early in the gold rush the district supplied pastoral and horticultural produce to feed the Bendigo diggings.
