About Mount Rowan

Mount Rowan is a small extinct volcanic cone on the northern fringe of Ballarat, rising to 518 metres above sea level. The volcanic hill sits approximately 6 kilometres north of the Ballarat CBD and is surrounded by suburban residential development that has encroached on the base of the cone in recent decades.
