About Evansford
Evansford is a rural village in the Pyrenees Shire, about 25 kilometres south-west of Maryborough in the historic goldfields region of central-west Victoria. Settled during the 1860s gold rush, the landscape features undulating agricultural and bushland country with Stony Creek running through the locality. The Evansford reservoir, built in the 1880s, supplies water to Talbot and Maryborough.
