About Dunach

Dunach is a small rural locality in the Central Goldfields region of Victoria, approximately 10 kilometres northwest of Clunes and 170 kilometres northwest of Melbourne. The area is best known for the heritage-listed Dunach Forest Homestead Complex, a group of bluestone buildings dating from around 1873, built for pastoralist Henry Chalk. The surrounding landscape is a blend of open farmland, remnant bushland, and the Dunach Nature Conservation Reserve.
