About Mount Cameron
Mount Cameron is a rural locality in the Ballarat region of Victoria. The Mount Cameron State School, a wooden building with a zinc roof, operated there from 1869 to 1900, with Joseph Wilson as its first teacher and 27 initial students. After the school closed, the building was relocated to serve as a mechanics institute before burning down in 1907.
