About Daisy Hill (Vic.)
Daisy Hill is a locality in Victoria, Australia, located in the Shire of Central Goldfields between the towns of Talbot and Maryborough. It began as a mining settlement after gold was discovered there during the gold rush of 1853, and the location soon became known as an extremely rich goldfield. A working model of its alluvial gold workings was among the goldfield models commissioned for Melbourne's museum in the late 1850s.
