About Woomera
Woomera, unofficially Woomera village, is the domestic area of RAAF Base Woomera. Since 1947 it has been a Defence-owned and operated facility. The village is located in the Far North region of South Australia, but is on Commonwealth-owned land and within the area designated as the Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA).
