About Walkley Heights
Walkley Heights is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, about 10 kilometres north of the city centre, established in 1995. It was built partly on land that had been the prison farm of Yatala Labour Prison, including 55 hectares formerly owned by the bushwear manufacturer R. M. Williams. The suburb is named after John Walkley, an early farmer in the district, and is bordered by the Dry Creek Linear Park.
