About Warnung
Warnung is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, about 16 km north-west of Murgon. It takes its name from the former Warnung railway station on the Windera railway line, which operated from 1925 until 1961; the name is an Aboriginal word for the box eucalyptus trees of the area. Land use is mostly grazing on native vegetation with some crop growing.
