About Wondunna
Wondunna is a residential suburb on the southern edge of Hervey Bay in the Fraser Coast Region. Named after Willie Wondunna, an Aboriginal man from K'gari (Fraser Island) who was sent to Victoria to track the Kelly Gang in 1880, the suburb was formally gazetted in 2000 to accommodate Hervey Bay's rapid expansion. It features generous lot sizes, a large sports reserve, and is home to the Fraser Coast Anglican College. Wondunna lies within the traditional lands of the Butchulla people.
