About Wattle Camp
Wattle Camp is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, situated approximately 20 kilometres north-east of Kingaroy. The name derives from a wattle-shaded camp used by musterers for the Barambah pastoral station in the late nineteenth century, and the Wondai State Forest occupies part of the western boundary. The landscape consists of gently undulating hills with grazing on native vegetation as the predominant land use, and the locality retains a quiet agricultural character within the broader South Burnett farming district.
