About Charlestown (Qld)
Charlestown is a rural locality in Queensland's South Burnett Region, situated about 21 kilometres south-south-west of Murgon and 24 kilometres north of Kingaroy. Much of the locality falls within protected areas including Wondai State Forest, McEuen State Forest, and Cherbourg National Park, with the remaining land used for grazing on native vegetation. The area is typical of the South Burnett's quiet bushland countryside.
