About Memerambi
Memerambi is a rural town on the Bunya Highway, about 12 kilometres north of Kingaroy in the South Burnett Region. The name is an Aboriginal word for the sugargum tree, and Ben and Harry Young planted the first commercial peanut crop in the South Burnett here in 1919. Arthur Benjamin Postle, once considered the fastest man in the world, moved to the area in 1913.
