About Susan River
Susan River is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region, located between Hervey Bay and Maryborough. The Susan River flows through the locality into the Mary River at River Heads, with an extensive estuary supporting mangrove and Blue Gum forests. The area falls within the Great Sandy Strait Ramsar wetland and is adjacent to the Great Sandy Marine Park.
