About Splinter Creek

Splinter Creek is a rural locality in the Wide Bay region of Queensland, located about 20.6 kilometres southeast of Monto and 461 kilometres north-northwest of Brisbane in the North Burnett Region. The landscape features two notable mountains, Mount Cannindah at 363 metres in the northwest and Mount Tellebang at 433 metres in the south, with Splinter Creek forming part of the boundaries. The landscape supports grazing on native vegetation with some cropping, and Splinter Creek Bridge State School operated from 1934 to 1958.
