About Southside
Southside is a semi-rural locality on the south-western bank of the Mary River at Gympie in the Gympie Region, about 4 km south-west of the town centre. Formerly known as Gympie South, it takes its name from its position south of Gympie and is home to the Gympie Racecourse, the showgrounds and Cooloola Christian College. Orchards and acreage properties sit alongside the residential subdivisions.
