About Widgee Crossing North

Widgee Crossing North is a locality in the Gympie Region of Queensland, about six kilometres west of Gympie, with the Mary River forming its western and southern boundaries. The name recalls a ford across the river that was important during the Gympie gold rush; a later bridge was washed away in a flood in the 1960s. The land is used for grazing on native vegetation.
