About Sexton
Sexton is a rural locality in the Gympie Region of Queensland, about 23 kilometres north-west of Gympie in the Mary Valley hinterland. The scattered rural holdings and timber country were once served by a station on the Nanango railway line, which reached the district in 1886 and closed in 2010; the local school operated from 1913 to 1924.
