About Promisedland

Promisedland is a rural locality in the Wide Bay region of Queensland, located about 38 kilometres southwest of Bundaberg and 335 kilometres north-northwest of Brisbane in the Bundaberg Region. The Burnett River forms the north-western boundary and the Ned Churchward Weir, built in 1998 and originally known as Walla Weir, spans the river for irrigation. Most of the locality is state forest, with Cordalba State Forest in the northwest to southeast and Elliot River State Forest in the east, while the south-west is used for irrigated horticulture and other areas for grazing on native vegetation.
