About Duingal
Duingal is a rural locality in the Bundaberg Region where the Burnett River forms the northern boundary and the eastern section falls within Cordalba National Park. Sugar cane farming dominates the low-lying land near the river, serviced by a cane tramway to the Isis Central mill. The locality takes its name from Duingal Creek, believed to derive from an Aboriginal word for scrub ironbark, and lies about 59 kilometres south-west of Bundaberg.
