About Moonford
Moonford is a rural town and locality in the North Burnett Region of Queensland, situated about 12 kilometres north-west of Monto on the Burnett Highway. Open grazing land and cattle properties characterise the pastoral landscape of the Burnett inland, and Cania Road branching north from the highway through the town provides access to Cania Gorge National Park, a significant natural attraction offering walking trails, camping and wildlife spotting in spectacular sandstone gorges.
