About Coominglah
Coominglah is a rural locality in the North Burnett Region of Queensland, about 30 kilometres north-west of Monto on the Burnett Highway. The area was taken up in 1848 as one of four pastoral runs selected by Adolphus Henry Trevethan, with capacity for around 4,000 sheep. Land use remains largely grazing on native vegetation, and a small state school served the district from the late 1930s to the 1940s.
