About Drinan

Drinan is a rural locality in the Bundaberg Region of Queensland, about 40 km west-south-west of Bundaberg near the Bruce Highway. It grew around a crossing of Sheep Station Creek used by pastoralist M. Drinan and later took its name from the Drinan family. From 1919 a sawmill, railway and general store made it a busy timber settlement, and timber cut here was used in building Wallaville's Catholic church.
