About Dangore

Dangore is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, located about 41 kilometres west-northwest of Kingaroy and 179 kilometres from Brisbane. The landscape features undulating terrain with the 2,000-hectare Dangore State Forest protecting dry rainforests and eucalypt-dominated communities. Historically known for peanut farming during the Great Depression under pioneer Godfred Martinius Pedersen, who later chaired the Queensland Peanut Marketing Board, the area now focuses on cattle grazing with a school that operated from 1915 to 1963.
