About Wilkesdale
Wilkesdale is a sparsely settled pastoral locality in the South Burnett Region, roughly 37 kilometres north-west of Kingaroy. Named after early settler William Richard Wilkes, who established a pastoral holding around 1909, the area supports cattle grazing and dryland cropping, with the Chinchilla Wondai Road passing through the locality.
