About Como (Qld)
Como is a rural locality in the Shire of Noosa on Queensland's Sunshine Coast hinterland, roughly 34 kilometres north-north-west of Tewantin. Much of the eastern part lies within Great Sandy National Park and the western part includes Toolara State Forest, while the south-west sector supports rural residential land, grazing and crop-growing. The locality borders the Noosa River to the north-east and Lake Cootharaba to the south-east, and contains heritage-listed sites including Harry's Hut and the Mill Point Settlement Site at Elanda Point. Como lies within the Noosa Biosphere Reserve and serves as a gateway to the Noosa Everglades.
