About Coolabunia
Coolabunia is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, located approximately 10 kilometres south-east of Kingaroy. Named after a pastoral run believed to derive from an Aboriginal expression for a sleeping koala, it was a resting place on journeys to the Bunya Mountains.
