About Chatsworth (Qld)
Chatsworth is a rural locality in the Gympie Region of Queensland, Australia, located 7.6 kilometres north-west of Gympie in the Mary Valley hinterland. The area experienced a goldrush in 1869 and its state school was opened in 1900 by Andrew Fisher, who later became Prime Minister of Australia. Historically associated with dairy and banana growing, it features historic churches and has transitioned to rural-residential living.
