About Yuruga
Yuruga is a rural locality in the Shire of Hinchinbrook in North Queensland, set in the productive coastal plains of the Herbert River valley. The area is dominated by sugarcane farming which has shaped the character of the region, with flat fertile land stretching across the landscape. Yuruga lies approximately 30 kilometres south of Ingham and is surrounded by tropical vegetation and agricultural land.
