About Long Pocket
Long Pocket is a rural locality in the Shire of Hinchinbrook, about 24 kilometres north-west of Ingham in tropical north Queensland. The area supports sugarcane farming and grazing, and is near the heritage-listed Lannercost Homestead, one of the oldest surviving homesteads in the district, built in the 1860s.
