About Ballard
Ballard is a rural locality in the Lockyer Valley Region of Queensland, situated approximately 11 kilometres east of Toowoomba on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range. Named after Robert Ballard, a railway engineer who oversaw construction of the main range section of the Ipswich-Toowoomba railway, the area features agricultural land and scenic hillside views.
