About Wootha
Wootha is a small rural locality in the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Queensland, approximately 7 kilometres south-west of Maleny. The area is characterised by rolling green hills, scenic mountain views, and proximity to the Glass House Mountains National Park. The name derives from Mount Wootha, which was named after a post office operated by the McCarthy family in the area's early settlement.
